Gran Our Gran was amazing She really was the best She was beautiful, kind and cheery And loved being brightly dressed. Her eyes were always sparkling Her smile lit up her face The way she cuddled us in her arms Was really truly ace. She was great at cooking Her soups and cakes were yummy But our favourite was her lasagne Which was delicious in our tummies. We loved playing games with Gran Colouring and dot-to-dots She always got a fright At the end of Mr Pop! Yes our Gran was amazing And we will miss her clearly But our hearts are full of happy thoughts Because she loved us dearly. By Freya McAleese Age 8
